About Attbar

For 50 years Attbar, Inc. has been making composite products to customer specifications.

Attbar, Inc. was established when Al Pratt & Jack Barchek designed and built a fiberglass fishing boat named Sea Bird that eventually became the Hi-Laker boat line. At the time parts were made with brushes, rollers, and squeegees using small batches of resin in buckets.  To better accommodate our expanding customer base, Attbar began using chop gun spray equipment to fabricate larger products and by the late 1960’s was using Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) to produce parts for the heavy truck industry.

To improve quality, control costs, and reduce environmental impact Attbar expanded its processes to include RTM-Lite, Vacuum Assist Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM), and Closed Cavity Bag Molding (CCBM) allowing us to suit the process to the individual customer need and budget. 

In addition to fiber reinforced polymer materials, Attbar uses a variety of core and reinforcement materials including carbon fiber, aramid tape, coremat, and engineered mats to improve the physical properties of our composite laminates and determine the best laminate schedule for your product application. Our tooling department designs and builds all of our FRP molds, and our machine and welding capability allows us to develop trim and drill jigs designed to meet your specifications.  Once your product is molded Attbar is able to further process your part through trim operations, hardware assembly, finish sanding, and surface coating.
